The LEGACY Project: Transgender cohort study of gender affirmation and HIV-related health

The LEGACY Project is a community-based transgender cohort study which aims to longitudinally evaluate whether medical gender affirmation improves physical and mental health outcomes. The study uses health information and survey data from Fenway Health in Boston, MA and Callen-Lorde Community Health Center in New York, NY.

Eligibility:

  • 18 years or older

  • Able to read and take a survey in English comfortably

  • Established Fenway or Callen-Lorde patient who has come in for a medical visit in the past 12 months

  • Identifies as a person of trans experience
